FAQs
Brilliant Harry with one of our carers, Gemma.
What area of the country do you cover?
We are based in Hereford and cover the whole of Herefordshire and the surrounding areas.
Do you follow COVID-19 safe work practices?
Yes, we offer the highest standards of COVID-19 safe practices in line with government guidelines. Read full details here
How do I know your care staff are trustworthy, especially as they will be coming into my home?
Before employment, new staff must have two employer references, one character reference, and an Enhanced DBS check. No staff member will have contact with clients until they have met all our induction and training standards.
Can I try out your services before committing to ongoing care?
Absolutely. We can work with you for an agreed trial period to make sure you are happy with the service we provide.
Will I always get the same carer?
We strive to provide the same carers who are familiar to you. Each carer has a set round each day, and this would only change in the case of holiday or sickness coverage. The cover staff would be part of a small team allocated to you, providing you with continuity and allowing you to build a relationship with your team.
What duties would my home carer carry out?
Our care team is made up of people from a diverse range of backgrounds with a wealth of experience and skills who are able to help with personal care and domestic duties. They are patient and respectful and are able to show real empathy to those who may be struggling to come to terms with the prospect of needing care and receiving help. Please see our services section for full details of the type of duties our carers can carry out.
How do I get financial support to pay for my home care?
There is lots of help available to pay for your home care, depending on your circumstances. Please check out the Paying For Care website for further information and advice.
How is the quality of your care assessed?
Mobile Care is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), England’s regulator of health and social care and they periodically inspect the quality of our care services, with their reports available online. Read our latest report here.
